Behind the Scenes of Small Town Hearts

The books of my Small Town Hearts trilogy were my debut into the wonderful, crazy world of romance writing. What many people, outside of my local readers, don't realize is my town is the basis for the fictional town in which my characters live. In fact, I've had locals come to me and tell me they recognized parts of the town or the people portrayed in the books. It was even better when the people got excited because they recognized themselves.

I had plenty of small town charm to draw from for these stories. The house where Lynn's parents live, tucked back into the woods, is based on my parents' home. Kari's café is a real place (one I order from about once a week and has excellent food!). Boyd's grocery store exists, as do its owners. And of course, the library where Bethany works.
